Recently i decided to install windows 7 on my Acer Aspire One netbook. Because there is no internal dvd drive, i had to make a bootable usb flash drive for windows 7 installation files. While searching on the Google i found this helpful tutorial on how to make a bootable USB flash drive. But there were few little problems. First of all the formating program doest work on Windows 7, you have to use the native software. Just go to My computer, press right button on the USB flash drive icon, and then format. Chose fat32 and you are pretty much done for that. Next problem was the BootSect.exe . Apparently for it to run, and make some changes in your USB flash, it has to run as Administrator. So you need to open the start menu, in the search box write cmd, when the cmd.exe will appear. Press right mouse button on it, and run it as Administrator. Then you need to use different CD command than suggested in the link i pasted before. You have to write “cd c:\Users\(your user)\Desktop\bootsect” and then run BootSect.exe . Everything else is on the link pasted before. Good luck!

Not so long ago i decided to buy a cheap GPS reciever. Well i guess it paid of, atleast if you use it for a car, rather than for hiking, because the battery is not that good.. Anyway, it took me a while to get good, new software for it, so i guess i can share how to do it for this item from DealExtreme, and i think for similar ones. This is the Item.
Software: it come with IGo 2006 by default, but there are not many new maps for it, so you need to get a newer software. I tried TomTom, had no luck with it, actually had no luck with getting maps, the software runs, but I really didn’t like the interface. People have reported success with this software:
- Route 66 Version 8
- Navigon 2100 (with tts)
- PolNav 2008 R 5.0
- Destinator 7 (with tts)
- Garmin XT v5
- TomTom v.7.910
- Sygic v 7.6.080820
- Igo 8 (with tts)
- Igo 8.3 (with tts)
- AmIgo 8.4
- Smart2Go v4.1.14000
- MioMap 3.3
- OziExplorer 2
- waze 0.14.2 (PPC version works great)
- BeeLineGPS (part of MioPocket)
- viaGPS 3.0 Black Edition
- nDrive 9
- Navitel 3.2.6.3594
as stated by this Post. But there are no guidelines how to install it. Well i tried IGo, and had some success. IGo8 runs fine, but there are some problems with maps, and not all of the versions runs. IGo8.3 or any subversion is unusable. And AmIGo8.4 runs just fine. So i stuck with it. This helped A lot.
So how to install it? First you need to download it. You can use torrents or grab it from the link posted before. Secondly you need to get to WinCE mode , follow the instructions on this site. After you get in WinCe mode turn of the device and take out the card. Place it in the card reader (It will be much faster than connecting it with usb cable). Get to the root directory of the SD card. Copy all the files of AmIGo. In the main folder of AmIGo there should be a file called AMIGO.EXE , run it and it should work. Maps can be downloaded from torrents , or can be found on forums. That is not very hard to find.
Hope that this hellped for some of you, who buy stuff from DX

After seeing documentary called “Beer Wars” i have decided that it should be pretty easy to make my own beer by my self. As i found out, it is easy:D. You just have to have good equipment, and right materials. It takes one day to brew it, one day to barken it, and then wait from 15 to 30 days until it gets the right taste. As it turns outs, it is also cheaper than buying beer from shop, and the taste is even better.
Some pictures of the process:
We didn’t have stainless steel pot, so we used aluminium one. It’s not as good as stainless, but at least it was a correct size for us.

This is our filtrating mechanism

Beer poured into the bucket to cool down, and then ferment.

Don’t expect it is a short process, it took us whole 9 hours till we finished, and left the beer to cool down to room temperature, to get ready for fermenting.

As there is a need for social practice hours in our school KJG, i thought it would be nice to get them for running CMS for my friend who decided to make Alumnai webpage for the same social practice hours. Well it turned out that i had to make a webpage structure also… Had some help from brother and his friend again. The webpage came out great, still no known flaws, looks great too (in my opinion). Hope to get some money too:D

So everything started as the fishing trip, but with my efforts simple fishing trip became more like complicated journey not only on land, but on the water too. First plan was to go to the village named Liepakalnis, but as we later found out, the route to it was a bit longer than we expected so we came to another village called Pilsupiai. From there we expected to go about 2km west till we reach our first stop river called Šušv?, but as we found out later, it was a bit futher again, about 4km. Few photos of the trip along the road:

As we progressed idea of turning and reaching the river faster came to our minds, so the left the road and went trough the glades and forests in search of river. We could see some strange figures in front, and as we reached them we found out that it was some kind of the tree covers wich we saw for the first time. Later on we found a brand new wooden statue in the middle of the forest. It was a bit confusing at first, but later on we found out it origin.

As we couldn’t reach the river from that point, because of the swamp, we went back and continued our trip by the road. After a while we reached some kind of park there we found monuments, small lakes and so on…

After a while we started the assemblage of our kayak. It wasn’t too hard, although we were assebling it for the first time.

With our assembled kayak we continued our trip by water. It was about 8km till the dam.

So finaly we reached our goal, the dam, and decided to go trought the river as well. And after a few minites everything just went wrong
The flow was too strong, and the rocky bottom was so close that we were forced to stop and get the hell out. It was a bit disappointing, but it was our first trip with a kayak, and we still have whole summer for such a challenges.
